Injection Molding Parameters
| Processing Item | Recommended Range / Condition | Notes & Explanations |
|---|---|---|
| Drying Treatment | Hot‑air drying:80‑85 ℃ for 2‑4 h; extend drying time or adopt vacuum drying under high‑humidity conditions; target moisture content<0.2% | Critical operation. PA66 is prone to moisture‑induced hydrolysis. Excess moisture causes bubbles, silver streaks and severe mechanical‑property loss. Use immediately after drying or seal and keep warm properly. |
| Melt Temperature | 260‑290 ℃ | Fine‑tune per equipment and part geometry. Avoid temperature>300 ℃ or long‑residence‑time to prevent degradation and discoloration. |
| Mold Temperature | 60‑80 ℃ | Proper mold temperature delivers good crystallinity, surface gloss and mechanical performance. |
| Injection Pressure | Adjust per product and mold design | Sufficient pressure guarantees compact parts despite high‑flow characteristic of U4820L. |
| Injection Speed | Medium‑high speed | Relatively fast speed takes advantage of high flowability; good mold venting is required. |
| Back Pressure | 0.5‑1.0 MPa (5‑10 kgf/cm²) | Moderate back‑pressure homogenizes melt and improves venting; excessive back‑pressure reduces plasticizing efficiency and may induce overheating. |
| Screw Speed | Medium speed (50‑120 rpm) | Avoid excessive shear‑heat generation. |
| Runner & Gate | Avoid undersized runner and gate dimensions | Nylon solidifies rapidly; gate location & size are critical for filling. High‑flow U4820L permits relatively small‑size gates. |
